You’ve no doubt heard the mantra that “Content is King” online. I would say that over the long haul it’s the deciding factor. It’s what brands you, makes you popular (if you are), and keeps your visitors coming back. With good keyword use, it’s the most powerful tool you have for search engine optimization.
Regular relevant content, properly optimized, can shoot your site to the top of the search engine results. So how do you optimize for keywords?
Here are 3 rules that have helped me, and I try to keep them in mind at all times:
"The only person who likes change is a wet baby"... Mark Twain (he was never a Clickbank affiliate!)
Beau Blackwell, who is Community Manager for Clickbank, has announced that there are some important changes coming up in January that will affect a lot of people, including both vendors and affiliates.
He specifically mentions (1) an update to the list of categories / subcategories products are organized in, (2) an easing of the requirements to qualify for direct deposit commission payments, and (3) improvements to the search capabilities in the marketplace.

That word “turnkey” is so popular online. Websites and systems are sold with the promise that all you have to do is enter a few personal details and within minutes you have a live income stream.
But I want to show you exactly why 99% of online turnkey business opportunities are either virtually worthless or outright scams. Call them what they are … “get rich quick schemes”.
This past weekend I was able to attend the sold out “Survival Tactics For Tough Times” event in Atlanta, hosted by Mark Joyner and Matt Basak. It was an all-star line-up of speakers including Mark and Matt, plus Shawn Casey, Marshall Sylver, Joe Sugarman, Ted Nicholas, Robert Allen, Bill Glazer and others.
I took copious notes, and was really inspired. My favorite sessions were by Matt Basak (on JV partnerships), Robert Allen (on multiple streams of income), and Ted Nicholas (on copywriting).
But the vaue of these events goes waaaay beyond the speakers you hear. I got to meet up with a whole bunch of online friends, and network to meet new ones. I’ve been in contact with them already since arriving home, and I know it’s going to result in some great joint venture opportunities in the future.
It was definitely worth the 4 hours I spent sitting at Laguardia Airport in New York when my flight was cancelled and I had to wait for another one. It was worth every penny I spent. It was worth the time away from home, and the effort of going.
If you have the opportunity to get to an event in 2010, take it! Hope to see you there.
Public Label Rights material has become very popular, and is now available all over the internet. Many are claiming what a boon this is for internet marketers, but there are pitfalls to be avoided. I am often asked questions about PLR that reveal how much misunderstanding there is about the subject, and I see a lot of low quality PLR content being used in very indiscriminate ways.
The “queen” of PLR, in my opinion, is Nicole Dean. Nicole is an experienced affiliate marketer, affiliate manager, coach to entrepreneurs, owner of a successful freelance writers site and EasyPLR.com So, when Nicole Dean offered an exclusive interview, I had to take her up on it.
Adswaps are a powerful way to accelerate your email subscriber list building efforts. Like any Joint Venture, when they are done right they should always be mutually beneficial to both adswap partners. The poor practices of some internet marketers of late, however, are rude and unprofessional, and ruin the adswap process.
I made this video to let people who would like to do an adswap with me know what basic standards I expect, and in return will always give. I hope that posting it will help to educate people about a proper protocol for adswapping.
